What's the job?

InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. That's where you come in, are you up for the challenge?

About the role

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor who can deliver pricing and contract management for a wide range of clients and projects? If you like to juggle a variety of projects, dealing with people and working with a team delivering high quality work, then this is an opportunity for you.

With an increasing workload and pipeline of projects, we are in need for an experienced QS who is keen for a new challenge.

In addition, you will have experience in providing timely pricing advice and take-offs expertise. You will also ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental standards for projects comply with legislation.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Pricing concept plans & budgeting for projects
  • Facilitate purchase orders to suppliers and contractors
  • Measuring and estimating variations
  • Carry our project administration requirements for each project allocated
  • Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered in time
  • Handle subcontract payments and reconciliations

  • A hands-on training programme with a wide range of courses
  • A welcoming, helpful team – our characters are down to earth and all willing to muck in to give each other a hand - everyone feels like they belong here
  • Heaps of development and opportunities for growth
  • True health and safety – you'll never have to work in an unsafe environment or in a situation where you feel uncomfortable

Are you the right fit?

We're after characters who are always wanting to learn and grow - your voice matters here, and you will be empowered to make decisions, not just take directions. We’re hoping you’ll be enthusiastic and have a can-do attitude, along with good communication skills. We're all about trust and loyalty here. Our team is built on a strong buddy system for most of our work, so you've got to like working as a team.

The technical stuff you'll need includes:

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experienced and proficient on surveying practices and technology.
