Tātaki Auckland Unlimited has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event Manager, with strong commercial capability, to join our Event Operations team, that can hit the ground running. This role has ample variety; as the events you will be working on are large scale and range from major sporting events to international concerts
What to expect in the day of a life as an Event Manager:
• Lead the full life cycle and delivery of high-profile events
• Manage client enquiries, supplier, and stakeholder coordination
• Establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Oversee Event Coordinators, event day casuals, volunteers and have oversight of all recoverable and non-recoverable expenses for events
• Complete event-day delivery as well as management of post-event wash ups
• Work closely with suppliers and service contractors to build partnerships that deliver high quality events
• Ensure that health and safety issues are identified and managed.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You are an experienced Event Manager who can hit the ground running and will be able to demonstrate your ability to be proactive and contribute from day one.
• 5 years' large scale event management experience e.g. festivals or greenfield sites, sporting events
• A qualification in event management or equivalent is desirable however not essential as your proven event management background will demonstrate your skill and expertise in this discipline
• Event management expertise in the live event, music, sport or production industry is essential
• Experience utilising Momentus (or similar) and understanding a P&L along with proven commercial acumen
• Demonstrated evidence of networking relationships with both clients and suppliers from all aspects of the event delivery landscape
• Contracting and freelancing event management experience will also be considered.
