About this opportunity

The purpose of this multifaceted role is to support the efficient functioning of the supply chain at PACT Packaging NZ’s Hamilton Site. 

Reporting to the planning manager, activities involve: procurement, customer service and export logistics within a large established team. 

This site wide role interacts and provides service to a wide range of internal and external customers.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Load sales orders and book export shipping to meet customer delivery dates.
• Ensure import containers are managed in line with site and MPI requirements.
• Provide Coupa “Buyer” support for the engineering team along with placing consumable purchase orders.
• Support tracking and reconciliation of pallets.
• Back-up customer service and purchasing functions to maintain service levels.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• Experience in business administration, planning, or purchasing.
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Good administrative, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Great attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• A team player – happy to support others and work with internal and external project teams.
• Technical capability – able to understand and practically apply technical information.
• Reliable and with good time management skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MS Office & SAP
• Interest in manufacturing operations
• S&OP experience and forecasting
