About the Role | Mō te tūnga:


Parliamentary Service is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Member and Support Staff Experience Coordinator. This crucial role is responsible for providing comprehensive support and coordination services to Members of Parliament and their staff.
The Member and Support Staff Experience team are responsible for enabling an exemplary experience to members of parliament, member support staff and party-political office staff across all the services provided by Parliamentary Service.

No two days are the same, so you will need to be nimble, pragmatic and outcome focussed. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing high-quality administrative support to the Member and Support Staff Experience team using the Microsoft Suite, internal workflow apps and software which ensure the smooth running of the support function to members and most importantly, the staff who support them.
  • Serving as a key point of contact for member support staff, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering timely communications on behalf of the team.
  • Providing exceptional, customer focused service delivery to solve problems and meet deadlines with a professional manner.
  • Collaborating with the team and our key stakeholders, contributing to our outstanding team culture and upholding our five Parliamentary Service values.

What You Will Bring to the Role | Tō kete:

  • A sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products, importantly Teams and Outlook
  • A natural ability to gain the confidence and respect of others through discretion, reliability, sound-decision making, and honesty.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • A high level of self-awareness and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
