Plant Operator-Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Plant Operator/Engineer to join the team at our state-of the-art facility. 

The Plant Operator's role includes operating Greefa, Hawk equipment and/or Compac machinery efficiently and effectively. We are looking for someone that is able to hit the ground running so relevant machinery and fruit experience is essential. 

You will be carrying out the following tasks

• Set up, start, control and stop packing lines and pre-sorter
• Calibrate machinery and monitor operation of packing lines and pre-sorter to ensure product meets specifications
• Support and participate in plant maintenance programme
• Monitor alarms and take action to ensure safe operation of machinery

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operator who is looking to take their next step.

What we are looking for:

• NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or one year relevant work experience
• Eagerness to learn more about new ways of packing.
• Intermediate Computer competency.
• Mechanical aptitude. 
• Flexible to work day and evening shifts as required, minimum of 30 hours work per week is guaranteed 
• Ability to work flexible hours to suit the seasonal fluctuations. 
• The ability to work lawfully in New Zealand
