Job Description - Registrar Assistant

Future Skills Academy is a highly rated, Category 1, Private Tertiary Establishment with campuses in Manukau, Royal Oak and Auckland CBD. We are a successful and growing institution which delivers a range of educational programmes from Level 1 & 2 through to Level 6 Diplomas and degrees.

We are on the hunt for an Registrar Assistant to support the administration and monitoring of academic systems and processes to support the delivery of our programmes. You will work closely with the Registrar in response to SELMA enquiries.

This position is permanent full time, based at our Manukau campus.

Your key accountabilities will also include:

  • Establishing a clear pathway of study within the student management system in collaboration with Heads of Departments for students in all programmes.
  • Enrolment and withdrawal of students into/from programme and courses.
  • Accurately entering all Student information and ensuring records and course details are kept up-to-date and audited.
  • Ensuring all students meet the programme rules and regulations upon completion of the qualification
  • Supporting the Registrar to maintain course and qualification register on TEC application.
  • Supporting the Registrar with Single Data Returns (SDR)
  • Supporting the induction of new teaching staff into the organisation’s registry systems.
  • Providing ongoing administrative support to all staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Compliance with all external academic statutory and regulatory requirements, including advice and guidance that supports FSA’s compliance with these requirements.
  • Providing integrated support to improve administration systems and processes along with the student learning experience.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Management or other related discipline.
  • At least two years’ experience in administrative management at a senior level
  • Experience working in a tertiary education environment, preferably in an academic setting, timetabling, and scheduling.
  • An in-depth knowledge of academic and industry standards and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships and networks at all levels, internally and externally
  • Ability to make sound decisions about the use of resources to achieve departmental goals.
  • Orientated towards change and ability to lead, train, and support others through change.
