The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi :

The Leadership position is mainly on site at Respite, working 40 hours preferred and being flexible regarding workdays over the 7 days a week, with an occasional on-call roster shift.

Primary Objectives for the Role:

• Establish and maintain a high performing team, working well as individuals and as a cohesive team
• Assist in managing financial, quality, administrative and operating systems
• Plan, organise, implement and evaluate the delivery of services to tangata whaiora.
• Supervise and manage the performance of staff
• Ensure a safe and effective service operation
• Be a contributing member of the management group and the Equip organisation

Skills and Experience:

• Registered Health Professional

• Have a sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be able to demonstrate bicultural concepts in practice, or willingness to learn.

• Comprehensive leadership skills

• Previous experience in Mental Health sector is advantageous

• Have a passion for mentoring others

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal

• Strong technology skills, must be experienced in using Microsoft Office products and familiar with databases

• Strong alignment with Equip's core values

• A clean full NZ drivers licence

• NZ resident or a valid NZ work visa

• Ability to build rapport and empathise with people from diverse backgrounds
