Job Description

About the role

We are now taking expressions of interest for Seafood Process Workers to join our team in the coming mussel season. You will be guaranteed at least 30 hours of work per week.

As a Seafood Process Worker, your tasks may include:

• Manual handling of product
• Operation of processing machinery
• Monitoring of food safety and quality of product
• Blanching of mussels
• Packing mussels
• Opening mussels
• Training of new staff and leading a team (when trained and competent)

Full training available.

Pay

Rates range from $24.00 - $26.50

Contract piece rates apply when opening mussels, with estimated actual earnings of over $28 per hour for an 8.5 hour day with an average of 11,000 mussels. You are guaranteed to be paid at least $24.00 per hour.
