We’re looking for an experienced senior delivery and change manager to successfully manage a portfolio of business and regulatory change initiatives for the Bank, from concept through to delivery and benefit realisation. These are initiatives that are both complex and cross-functional, with wide ranging impacts across people, process, customer, and technology, and are critical to the Co-operative’s overall strategic plans. This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of some of the Banks biggest priorities and make a difference for the future of banking for everyday kiwis.
A bit about the role
Initially you will lead the successful delivery of the Bank’s compliance and regulatory change initiatives by providing dedicated focus, alignment, and leadership of the work required over the next 2-3 years to enable us to build a stronger, more scalable Co-operative and continue to deliver great outcomes for our customers.
To do this you will need to build a deep understanding of the Bank’s regulatory, risk, and business operations environment across our people processes, customer experiences, and product distribution channels, as well as the technology solutions and external partnerships that support them. This includes ensuring impacts are assessed thoroughly and related interdependencies across other priority initiatives and change activities are identified and understood, to ensure risks are managed effectively and change outcomes and benefits are achieved.
These initiatives will involve a wide range of key stakeholders, from senior executives right through to frontline staff and customers, so we are looking for someone who plays both the breadth and depth of delivery and change management and communication equally well.
You will need to be a strong leader of self, and others, who can lead and influence the delivery of complex work through others, either via cross-functional delivery teams or indirect people management.
You’ll take pride in high quality work, know your way around a range of delivery and change management methodologies, tools, and approaches, and be confident to take the lead in ensuring you have the things needed to successfully deliver your work.
To succeed in this role, you’ll also need strong communication and influencing skills and an understanding of how to get the best out of others by building strong relationships founded on trust, connection, and empathy. If this sounds like you, and you have a proven track record of effective delivery and change management that has delivered high quality outcomes across people, processes, and customers, then we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, you’ll also have experience working in banking or financial services and understand regulatory and risk environments, with an ability to bring a customer first and compliance by design approach to the delivery of change.
