Senior Estimator - Auckland (Mt Wellington) - Civil Construction - Circa $140k Your new company


They are a civil contractor based in Auckland who delivers a range of civil infrastructure works and land development projects. The company is well known, growing and has a fantastic track record of innovative developments. They pride themselves on delivering high quality outcomes to multiple clients of varying size and scale across the Auckland and Waikato regions.


Your new role

• This role plays an essential part to the business success, by securing new work through the preparation of tenders and other pricing mechanisms.
• Another key area is to provide cost management support to PM's/QS's during the projects.
• As the Senior Estimator, you will need to maintain the core communication link with all customers and conduct duties in a way that maintains and builds future relationships
• Ownership of the estimating function
• Heavy involvement in the bid and tender functions
• Cost Analysis
• Contracts Administration

What you'll need to succeed

• 10+ years' experience in a previous Estimator role
• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• Experience with local authority standards e.g. Council, Watercare etc.
• Experience with New Zealand standards
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with excellent time management skills also
• Very detail orientated with the ability to communicate internally and externally
