Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

To support the Liaison and Engagement activities between EIT and Tairāwhiti Schools and Community.

This is a one year fixed term parental leave cover position

The appointing salary for this role will be between $60000 and $63,038, dependent on skills and experience.

The Student Liaison Advisor is based in our EIT | Te Pūkenga Tairāwhiti campus, reporting to the Director Business Relationship and Transitions and will be responsible for: 

  • Supporting the Engagement and Transitions Team Leader and coordinating with EIT managers, staff, secondary schools and community stakeholders to deliver the Liaison and Engagement plan for the Tairāwhiti region
  • Maintaining up-to date knowledge and awareness of the full range of EIT support services and programmes
  • Assisting students with their programme selections, course applications and scholarships
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, community groups, organisations, local secondary schools to promote learning opportunities
  • Supporting and liaising with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver the advertising and marketing plans and create social media content, according to the EIT’s social media strategy
  • Coordinating and implementing Tairāwhiti based events such as expo’s, open days, graduation, careers, seminars, launches and other events in collaboration with other EIT staff.
  • Organizing and hosting campus visits for schools and events for future students on and off campus

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A qualification in business, marketing or education is desirable
  • A full driver’s license
  • Experience and knowledge working at the industry, schools and the tertiary sector
  • Have a level of credibility with the industry and education providers
  • Customer service orientated focus
  • High degree of professional judgement, personal initiative, commitment and integrity
