Job Description - Systems Administrator

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

As a member of the Medical Photography service at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato you will have a shared accountability to support comprehensive imaging services in both inpatient and outpatient settings to the people of the Waikato region.


The primary purpose of the position is to assist the Medical Photography team and Medical Photography Image Management vendors, in the ongoing operational development and administration of the Image Management systems across Health NZ, Waikato.

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

  • Appropriate professional qualification or experience in software system administration, troubleshooting and learning resource development

  • Proven experience in helping support, maintain and develop, large data systems in the Health sector

  • Attention to detail with good written and oral communication skill

  • Analytical and decision making qualities

The Medical Photography service is a highly motivated team of professionals who image a huge range of medical and surgical conditions in a large variety of clinical settings. The images are used to help diagnose, monitor and assess conditions over time to improve health outcomes. Non clinical imaging is also undertaken where time and resources allow.
