The role:

Your People are looking to recruit for a non-qualified accountant fixed-term vacancy which runs until at least the end of September 2024. This opportunity may be suited to someone with financial accounting experience, alternatively, this could be an excellent graduate opportunity to kick-start your career.

The role will largely involve compliance work -

• Manage processes with efficient workflows around compliance reporting - accurate preparation of accounts including annual, monthly and periodic financial statements
• IRD and GST returns, GL journal processing and accruals
• Assist with budget preparation – interact with team and service areas
• Proficient use of accounting and organisational software
• Adhere to organisational and service policy and process

Our ideal candidate:

Has relevant work-experience and/or holds a tertiary qualification in accounting

• Demonstrates excellent organisational, analytical, problem-solving, customer service and communication skills
• Is a logical thinker and methodical operator with a solid work-ethic – is highly reliable
• Has excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines
• Interacts well within the a team environment – a good team fit
