We are looking for analysts/testers to help analyse the data in our payroll systems for our Holidays Act Programme of work. This programme involves correction of our payroll systems to make them compliant with the Holidays Act (rectification) and also to remediate our current and former employees for any underpayments for holiday pay not calculated properly.
The objectives of our projects are to remediate current and past employees for Holidays Act non-compliances, make changes to HR and payroll systems, policies and processes, and to ensure the Districts’ payroll remain compliant with the Holidays Act 2003.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
In this role, you will use your analytical skills and payroll experience to analyse the data outputs for either or both of these streams of work :-
Remediation Stream – This stream is responsible for working with our remediation partners to analyse payroll data and calculate the remediation payments. In this role, you will be analysing payroll data to identify data anomalies and respond to data queries from the remediation vendor. You will use your Holidays Act knowledge to carry out testing of the remediation calculations provided by the remediation vendor to validate the outputs and test compliant pay models.
Rectification Stream – This stream is responsible for changing the configuration of the payroll system to make it compliant with the Holidays Act. Your work will help ensure that the future solutions comply with both the Holidays Act and MECA/IEA standards and are able to be delivered operationally. Your role will be to support the testing of the configuration changes to the payroll system by analysing and validating data outputs to make sure they are compliant. You will also help to identify and document the process changes to enable future compliance.
Depending on your skills set and interest, you could be placed in either stream or be able to work across both streams
There are multiple roles available based in Dunedin and Rotorua . Our preference will be to find people based in either of these locations but we can manage remote working as well if you are based elsewhere provided you are open to traveling from time to time as required (some of the travel expenses will be covered).
