An exciting and rare opportunity exists to join our team as we expand to New Zealand, and to be our first employee on the ground! Reporting to the COO, the Business Development Manager will have strong real estate knowledge and networks, be self-motivated, thrive in a diverse environment and enjoy building long standing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is for an all-rounder who can turn prospects not only into clients, but advocates of Realtair.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for:

  • Nurturing and closing inbound leads, and leveraging existing networks to create outbound leads and secure sales.
  • Conducting sophisticated, thoughtful discovery sessions with prospects, to identify and understand their business pains and needs.
  • Developing and managing a sales pipeline through all stages of the sales process: including identifying new business opportunities to sign new customers; establishing and managing relationships with key customer contacts and/or executive management; and driving strategic upsells.
  • Act as a key point of contact throughout a customer’s onboarding/implementation phase.
  • Deliver training to new clients to enable usage of our products with minimal ongoing support required.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of our Realtair products to assist new and existing customers with troubleshooting.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction throughout the onboarding phase and implement measures to improve the customer experience and guide clients to first-time value.
  • Share customer feedback with the Product Teams to help inform development priorities.
  • Assist with communicating new product features and updates to all of our NZ clients through training or online media.
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to the Realtair Management Team regarding client progress and market trends.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in software sales, can operate as both a hunter and a farmer.
  • Have extensive real estate knowledge and a broad network of real estate contacts.
  • Tech savvy with experience using modern CRM, Sales and Customer Success platforms.
  • Well versed in software sales methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience building strong customer and internal stakeholder relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Energy and passion for providing the best customer service - going above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
