This is a unique role where you’ll get the best of both worlds and get to work across two leading brands: Meridian and Powershop. While we do things a little differently, our values and fundamental principles are very similar. You’ll learn the ins and outs of both brands, double the fun!!

Together, Meridian and Powershop retail electricity to more than 365,000 homes, businesses and farms across New Zealand. Now that’s a pretty impressive combo!

Job Description



What you’ll be doing

Due to internal movements and growth, we are looking for new and enthusiastic team members to join our award-winning call centre in Christchurch, to help our Powershop and Meridian New Zealand customers! In this fast-paced environment, you will handle a variety of customer interactions across various channels including inbound/outbound calls, email and chat.

You will be tech savvy, love being busy and juggling a wide range of tasks, while going the extra mile for our customers is always your priority. There isn’t much that phases you - you can stay calm and focused while dealing with a range of challenging and complex queries.

Important stuff to know – Our contact centre operates between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday. This role is suited to candidates looking for a fulltime position and able to work on a rotational roster within those business hours (i.e., no set shifts).

You may have the ability to work from home a couple of days a week, following your initial training period.

You’ll be required to complete standard contact centre relevant online testing, which can be done from home.

All standard pre-employment checks will also be applicable.
