Job Description - Extended Care Paramedic

Tū Ora is recruiting for an Extended Care Paramedic (ECP)/Paramedic – Fixed Term (12 Months)

Tū Ora Compass Health is currently recruiting for a Extended Care Paramedic (ECP)/Paramedic to join our team in our mission to achieve Better Health Through Great Primary Care. About the role

• The primary purpose of the Extended Care Paramedic/Paramedic (ECP/P) is to provide urgent and/or unscheduled care directly to people and their whānau.

• Working closely with the Comprehensive Primary and Community Team (CPCT), in the Wellington locality, the ECP/P is an advanced clinical practitioner in Paramedicine who specialised in facilitating a comprehensive medical history/assessment, initiation of relevant treatment and appropriate referral for low and medium acuity patients in a variety of community and clinical settings with an emphasis on managing a patient in their own environment/context.

About you

• Current registration and Annual Practicing Certificate from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council

• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, and able to work with a wide range of people in different settings.

• Highly organised

• An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to equitable healthcare for diverse populations

• High level of service support delivery through high quality customer service in a timely manner
