Job Description

• Supervision and support for three reports including work delegation and some performance management when required.
• Providing direction to the team to meet business objectives and KPIs
• First point of escalation for issues
• Monitoring of major machinery projects and machine movements involving the logistics team.
• runs MRP and places POs as required
• Ensures all POs are received and acknowledged by suppliers
• Monitors/ follows up on overdue Pos
• Builds constructive relationships with key suppliers
• Keeps internal customers updated as appropriate
• Control the cycle count process for the warehouse

Other tasks as required including back up for other team members

About the Person

• Leadership skills/experience
• Purchasing experience
• Customer service ethic
• ERP/MRP experience, preferably SAP
• MSOffice skills particularly Excel
• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Accurate numeracy skills
• High attention to detail essential
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Personal initiative to be able to act & resolve matters when necessary
• Applicant must be able to work with minimal supervision
