Grocery Assistant Manager

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our Grocery team as Grocery Assistant Manager.

This role is floor and people based that will suit candidates who enjoy physical work, helping to lead a large and diverse team, and being able to engage with customers on a day to day basis.

Key tasks include:

Working alongside the Grocery Manager to set daily task lists and priorities for the team.

Working with team members to complete assigned tasks (dropping / filling aisles, working pallets, other general duties).

Setting expectations around efficiency of working and quality of operational standards. Productivity is key!

Work with Company Reps and Merchandisers to ensure consistent standards across the grocery department.

Providing excellent customer service to our 35k weekly visitors to store!

A good level of physical fitness is required.

This role will suit candidates with prior supermarket experience with some supervisor level experience preferred, however it is not a requirement. A forklift license would be an advantage.  This is a permanent, on-going role and development opportunities both in store and the wider Foodstuffs NI can be offered to candidates who want to grow in our store and Cooperative!

Indicative Days / Hours:

Tuesday to Saturday.

Tues-Thurs 9am-6pm, Fri-Sat 6am-3pm.

42.5hr paid week.
