About the role Aimex are experiencing continued growth and are on a transformational journey led by our new Chief Executive Officer. We are looking to take our Health & Safety journey to the next level as we realign and strengthen our organisation, and we are seeking an exceptional and driven Group HSEQ Manager to join our new Senior Leadership team. Reporting to the new CEO, this is a critical and visible role with overall responsibility and accountability for the leadership and management of the HSEQ strategy and frameworks across the whole of the Aimex group. Your role will involve strengthening Aimex's safety, felt leadership, wellbeing, and quality culture throughout our entities, and partnering with leadership across Aimex to drive improvements, build capability and ensure our people go home to their families safe and well at the end of each day. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute the appropriate group-wide HSEQ strategies, roadmaps, and management systems to develop an effective shared ownership of health, safety, quality, and environmental management. • Determine, advise on, manage, and maintain certifications and accreditation pathways • Ensure compliance across all applicable legislation, assess, and manage risks across all areas of HSEQ, including emerging risks • Develop, lead, and strengthen a culture that holds safety, wellbeing and quality as a core value that is championed across the organisation • Lead, guide, develop and motivate our people for high performance in a pragmatic, hands on way, providing visible leadership across all operational locations • Apply exceptional stakeholder management skills to ensure buy-in and fit for purpose solutions to achieve Aimex 's HSEQ goals and targets • Conduct incident investigations, monitoring and assurance activities and corrective actions, providing coaching as required • Initiate and lead key projects, initiatives and HSEQ promotions and ensure the effective sharing of best practice across the group About you: You will be an experienced and dynamic HSEQ leader with proven ability to create and inspire behavioural change. Your experience will encompass equal parts strategy and operational excellence, with the ability to translate knowledge into action and workable solutions. Education & experience: • Strong experience leading health and safety functions and teams in an operational environment, ideally from an engineering, manufacturing, or high-risk environment • Relevant tertiary- level education • Industry recognised H&S/HSWQ qualifications • ICAM or other root cause analysis investigation training and experience with auditing • The proven ability to develop strong partnerships and embed engagement strategies with operational teams; your felt leadership skills will naturally bring others along with our health and safety journey • Excellent communication skills to engage at all levels and build sustainable relationships with our diverse teams; • Highly organised and able to deal with conflicting priorities and work under pressure • High-level computer literacy and experience working with software systems and data, with an analytical mindset to identify trends to work towards preventative measures About us: Aimex believes a great company is built by great people and this is an exciting and challenging new role for an insightful leader who is passionate about driving excellence in HSEQ while being an accessible and approachable leader across all levels of the organisation.
