Job Description - Junior Business Intelligence Analyst

Tū Ora Compass Health; is the largest primary health organisation (PHO) in the Wellington region, incorporating Wellington City, Porirua, Kāpiti and the Wairarapa. Tū Ora Compass Health and its associated organisations exist to enable better health through great primary care.

We are a registered charitable trust, employing around 150 core team members, who provide primary health care and community health services to an enrolled population of around 350,000, mainly through a network of general practice and employed staff with offices in Masterton, Porirua and Wellington.

About the role

The purpose of the Business Intelligence role is to provide business intelligence analysis and reporting and stakeholder engagement to define and refine ideas for business system improvements

The key functions of the Business Intelligence Analyst are to:

• Collect, analyse, interpret and summarise data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports, mainly using SQL and Power BI.

• Interface with users, stakeholders and staff of all technical levels

• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers

• Communicate with a wide variety of staff, including clinicians, care providers, project managers and external agencies including community

About you

• Ability to work collaboratively and independently

• The ability to summarise and present information in a direct and meaningful fashion

• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing

• Basic statistical knowledge

• Able to listen and apply instructions

• Be a fast learner

• Have the willingness to learn new skills and improve reporting methods

• Be able to prioritise workloads and deal with user end requirements
