Papakura Library is an integrated site offering the full range of library and council services. We have a strong community focus, offering an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
In this new role you will facilitate and grow community and partner-led activity to deliver library services including programmes and events. This role will ensure the effective promotion and successful delivery of community-focused programmes and events designed to engage the public. You will support an amazing team currently delivering programmes as well as leading new and strategic initiatives to add value to our community.
The role will form part of the leadership team in the library’s day-to-day operations and support for team members in our integrated library site.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays and late nights.

You are innovative, confident, and willing to learn and ‘give it a go’. You are passionate about the role of the public library and have an interest in designing new programmes to connect with our community. You demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles. Previous experience with council service enquiries would be highly desirable.
A collaborative team member, you’re confident using social media platforms to engage with the community. Excellent digital skills and strong attention to detail, with proven customer service experience, are all key skills and attributes that will set you up for success.
