About the role
The National Complaints Manager is a vital leadership role within the Law Society, reporting to the General Manager Professional Standards (Regulatory), you will be responsible for leading, growing and developing the Lawyers Complaints Service (LCS) department of the Law Society.
The Lawyers Complaints Service is a key function of the Law Society that deals with a wide range of people, including the public and members of the legal profession to resolve complaints on the conduct of lawyers. This exciting leadership role sees our National Complaints Manager engaging the LCS department to promote a culture of collaboration, whilst supporting the Law Society to deliver its regulatory strategy and regulatory function.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours each week. We embrace flexible working to support our staff to deliver their best and achieve a good work life balance and to connect and collaborate with others by providing a hybrid approach sharing your time between the office and home.

The New Zealand Law Society Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa is the professional body for barristers and solicitors in New Zealand. The Law Society regulates all lawyers practising in New Zealand and is the membership organisation for practising lawyers. With 13 branch offices throughout the country, the Law Society is the Kaitiaki (guardian) of the practice of law in Aotearoa New Zealand and the consumers of legal services.
