Paediatric Registered Nurse

About the role
As a paediatric nurse you will have a passion for working within this space, and coming from previous experience in a similar setting. This role is a crucial part of delivering high level, compassionate and comprehensive care to your patients. Working in a busy hospital setting you will have the support from a great multi-disciplinary team, all working collaboratively to ensure the best care is provided.

Maintain accurate and up to date assessments, care plans and patient education to families

Administer medication, and perform treatments as prescribed

Monitor and evaluate patient progress, identifying any changes in condition and collaborating with the healthcare team to adjust care plans accordingly

Foster a safe and nurturing environment for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing emotional support as needed

Skills and Experience

Current nursing registration with the NZ nursing Council

Prior experience working in paediatrics in NZ or a comparable healthcare system is required

Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport

A genuine passion for working in paediatrics

Ability to work collaboratively, and with a compassionate and empathetic outward approach
