Aquaheat Facility Services is a premier provider of facility maintenance services being 100% New Zealand owned and operated with over 70 years of history providing a comprehensive range of facility maintenance services to a selected range of local government, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers throughout New Zealand.

Our team provide HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry services to a variety of major clients that range from the education and government sector to commercial buildings and state of the art facilities across the region.

About the Role:

Ideally you will have broad plumbing/gasfitting experience with the ability to prioritise and manage your work activity. Whilst not essential, the ability to work with and train apprentices will be highly regarded.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine belief in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a "can do" attitude. The ideal candidate will have 5 + years-experience in the trade, with a proven track record in fault finding and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities for the role include:

• Provide general plumbing and gas fitting services to ensure all planned and reactive maintenance, remedial work, fault diagnostics and installation works
• Enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/ industry standards.
• This role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high quality plumbing and gas fitting services.
• As this is a service position it requires an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and the ability to manage their own time, and the time of others, in order to meet deadlines

To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:

• NZ qualification in plumbing and gas fitting
• NZ registration for plumbing and gas fitting
• 5 years post trade experience
• Valid, unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence
• Installation and maintenance of plumbing services and gas equipment
• Commercial plumbing installation and maintenance
• Experience with plumbing systems and installations
