ABOUT THE ROLE


Astra Radiology is a specialised radiology clinic offering a range of imaging modalities at our nine sites which includes Ascot Hospital. Astra Radiology has joined the Integral Diagnostics Group (IDX), to become one of the largest private radiology providers in Australia and New Zealand and provides comprehensive Radiology and Tele-radiology services to private medical facilities and public hospitals.


We are currently looking for a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Radiology nursing team.


As a Radiology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of nursing care for both inpatients and outpatients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures. This role offers a diverse and interesting range of patient presentations and radiology procedures. Our nursing team usually work across our Remuera and North Shore sites.


Our Nursing team provides pre, peri and post examination care for patients undergoing General X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Fluoroscopy. You will be a key team member of this specialised environment. Experience in Radiology is desired but not essential as on the job training will be provided.




ABOUT YOU

• Current APC and Registered to Practice in New Zealand
  
  
• Strong patient centred care approach with an ability to effectively build patient relationships
  
  
• Cannulation qualification will be a requirement of the role, training support will be provided to achieve this outcome
  
  
• Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  
  
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  
  
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
