What will I be doing?


As a Reservations Manager, you will lead a close knit team, in a fast paced environment. You will professionally and effectively handle customer inquiries and maximise revenue opportunities through upselling techniques. Specifically, the Reservations Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Work with Sales and Marketing Teams to develop a strategic sales plan
  • Manage the Reservations Team to meet and exceed budgeted targets
  • Monitor revenue variance, constantly, to identify areas of concern and build an approach to maximize revenue
  • Develop accounts, proactively, and coach the Sales Team to develop accounts successfully
  • Actively seek opportunities to increase revenue
  • Understand the competitive marketplace through analysis of trends and data and build a strategic approach to manage trends
  • Develop the Reservations Team to ensure the constant delivery of excellent Guest and customer service

What are we looking for? The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience, leading a team and maximising revenue.  To be successful in this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills and values that follow: 

  • Previous experience within management of front office/reservations and a background in hotels is required
  • Strong understand of systems such on OnQ PM and OnQ R&I (Rates and Inventory) is required
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build long-term relationships
  • Excellent understanding of yield and diary management
  • Analytical approach to work
  • Results focused
