**Type:** Permanent **Hours:** Full time **Location:** Wellington **Business Group:** Charities Services **Branch:** Kāwai ki te Iwi / Service Delivery and Operations **Salary:** $84,484 - $113,465 * Lead provision of specialised forensic accounting leadership to achieve regulatory outcomes * Provide advice on financial and accounting matters * Assess financial risk across the charitable sector * Support the uplift of financial capability and compliance with reporting standards in the charitable sector * Provide accounting support to intelligence and investigation functions * Influence the regulation of registered charities in Aotearoa through effective relationship building We're looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Regulatory group at Charities Services Ngā Ratonga Kaupapa Atawhai - a unique opportunity to be a key player in the regulation of registered charities in Aotearoa. Our role is to promote trust and confidence in charities, encourage good governance, and support charities to comply with their obligations under the law. The Senior Accountant Regulatory plays a key role in a small and highly functioning team. They are responsible for leading the provision of forensic and financial account advice to achieve successful regulatory outcomes. In addition, the Senior Accountant role provides accounting leadership across Charities Services, advises colleagues on financial matters and projects and supports internal financial process improvements. If you think you are the right person for this role, you'll need to be able to translate data and financial analysis into plain English. You'll have to have a can-do attitude, and a passion for delivering.
