Job Description



The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

The successful candidate will be responsible for running multiple digital campaigns including email campaigns, paid search, programmatic display, social media, SEO, and affiliate marketing. Each of these channels with focus heavily on analytics, conversion optimization, website optimization and constant UX testing. This role will also innovate new strategies, optimizing new and current websites, while also using an analytical data driven approach.

Some other key responsibilities include:

  • Implementation of all digital customer acquisition activities.
  • Translate customer interaction and engagement data into executable business requirements that ensures a high quality and intuitive user experience.
  • Measure return on investment and engagement for digital marketing activities including establishing attribution models to track and monitor digital marketing effectiveness and measure actual performance against planned performance.
  • Execute the digital marketing strategy tactics, budget and analytics to deliver the required results.
  • Innovate in digital, email and social campaigns– test out new platforms, sites, partners and creative to have digital innovation.
  • Report on and make optimization recommendations based on campaign data and learnings to senior leadership.
  • Work with AD of Marketing for Auckland Online on performance reporting - spend, ROI, and business case development for all Auckland Online marketing investments.
  • Make key strategic recommendations that effectively manage short term and long term business objectives.

This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent role. The salary range is $92,100 - $120,000 per annum depending on experience and

You will be highly experienced in the areas of digital marketing, lead acquisition, marketing strategy, data analysis, operations, and management. You will have strong examples of the design and implementation of comprehensive digital marketing strategy that enables Auckland Online to achieve its business objectives. You will lead your strategy; driving customer awareness, increasing engagement, and delivering a best-in-class student experience.

  • Be highly motivated, self-managing and exceptionally well organised. You will have strong planning and co-ordination skills and be able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Have excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage positively and proactively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Be committed to excellent quality and have a sharp eye for detail.
  • Results oriented and be able to bring creativity and new ideas to the role.
  • Familiar with agile ways of working, cross functional collaboration and effective engagement with internal shared services providers.
