Based in the vibrant coastal town of Oamaru, Network Waitaki is an electricity distribution and energy services business that powers our local economy.
Network Waitaki Contracting provide electrical construction and maintenance services across New Zealand. We are based in Oamaru with a team of approximately 60 people across management and field staff within our contracting team.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Trade Assistant to join our Contracting team in Oamaru.
If you’re a practical “hands on” person and can provide practical support to our skilled tradespeople in carrying out maintenance, repairs, vegetation clearance activities and experience with operating machinery – we’d love to hear from you!

This role will undertake a wide range of tasks, by aiding our field teams with manual tasks, operating machinery and power tools and other tasks around our yards. If you love the outdoors, are physically fit and safety-conscious - then this is the job for you!

Preferred Attributes:
* Full Class 1 Drivers License minimum - Class 2 preferable
* Successfully completed NCEA Level 1 (or equivalent)
* Unfazed by unpleasant weather conditions
* Good spoken and written communication skills
* Available for after hours and emergency situations
