This role supports the Injury and Rehabilitation Manager with implementing guidance from regulatory and health advisory partners and ensuring KiwiRail's legal requirements under ACC are maintained.

What you'll do

Your key responsibility is assisting with the planning, implementation and maintenance of KiwiRail's injury prevention, ACC claims management and worker rehabilitaton programmes.

You'll be involved with:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of case files, rehabilitation plans and thorough recording of supporting documentation
  • Participating in the review and analysis of injury data to support the development and coordination of injury prevention, health and wellbeing programmes
  • Supporting the business with injury management and rehabilitation related training and advice
  • Assisting KiwiRail's Zero Harm Team deliver and manage the health and wellbeing strategy
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including unions and worker representatives

What you'll need

We need someone who has a passion for Health and Safety. Ideally, you will have knowledge of ACC legislation and have demonstrated experience of report writing and delivery of highly accurate documentation. Complementing these skills, you will be able to demonstrate that you:

  • Are a critical and detailed thinker
  • Are an accurate and detailed planner
  • Are able to communicate effectively with people across a large, complex organisation

You will have determination and a mind-set to make things happen and the motivation to follow through on what needs to be done.

This role is all about people - it is imperative that you have experience of dealing with people from a range of backgrounds and that you can exhibit patience, understanding and empathy at all times.
