BestStart Palm Springs is a vibrant early childhood centre licensed for 70 children, including 12 under two-year-olds. Our centre boasts a fantastic range of extra-curricular activities, including weekly beach excursions, ballet, and rugby lessons, enriching the lives of our young learners.

Our dedicated staff, with many long-serving members, create a warm and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. With our last Centre Manager serving for an impressive 14 years, we are now seeking the next exceptional leader to guide our centre towards continued excellence in care and education.

About the Role:

As a high-impact leader, reporting to an Area Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre! Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be in your DNA. 

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. 

Role requirements: 

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. 

We are looking for the following: 

• B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification 
• Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum 
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard 
• A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices 
• You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others 
• You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
