About the Role:

BestStart Mt Eden is currently on the lookout for an exceptional Infants Head Teacher to join our vibrant team. We are in search of a dedicated and passionate leader with a robust understanding of pedagogical practices, committed to fostering the growth and development of their team members. 

Our center boasts ample indoor and outdoor space, conveniently situated just across the road from the iconic Eden Park and within walking distance of Kingsland train station, infusing our setting with a unique inner-city charm. The environment at BestStart Mt Eden exudes a dynamic energy, complemented by our two villas and expansive playground area. 

Nestled within our grounds is a picturesque meadow, complete with a vegetable garden, mud pit, fruit trees, compost area, worm farm, and a cozy fire pit for the winter months.

Embracing our local curriculum, we view the environment as the third teacher, providing endless opportunities for exploration and learning. This is a permanent position working 40 hours Monday-Friday

Role requirements:

We're looking for a natural leader who shares our values and vision who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth. 

As well as:

• B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
• A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum
• Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
• Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
