Education and Experience
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Heavy Mechanical Technician’s Certificate of Qualification and Interprovincial (IP) Red Seal Certification
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working in the industry as a Journeyperson Heavy Mechanical Technician
- Computer literacy in word processing, electronic mail and appropriate software applications
- Post-secondary teaching experience is considered an asset
- Provincial Instructor Diploma (PID) program or BC Teaching Certification is an asset
- Demonstrated curriculum development skills is an asset
This is a non-regular, full-time (100%) leave-replacement position commencing August 28, 2024, and ending August 27, 2025. Position end date may change, depending upon the return of the incumbent. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement. The salary range is $2,763.30 - $4,428.06 (at a 100% appointment) bi-weekly based on qualifications and experience.
