Job Description - IT On-site Support Engineer

About the role
Our in-house team is expanding, and we require an experienced technical support person to be the face of IT in our Auckland office. You will be eager to assist our teams ensuring their IT experience is always a positive one. You will achieve this by providing technical support and assistance to users within the GT organisation, on premise in the Auckland office. Assisting all employees by addressing and resolving IT related issues, whether they are hardware, software or network related.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting all employees by providing troubleshooting assistance and incident resolution for various IT related issues to end-users via phone, email, chat or in person.

· Install, configure and upgrade computer systems and software

· Assist with the setup and maintenance of servers, printers, routers and other IT equipment

· Onboarding and offboarding of users – laptops, mobile and peripheral equipment, permissions, and security

· Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with users; listen carefully to users’ issues

and provide follow up to ensure problem resolution

· Maintain documentation of all support activities

· Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software and licenses

· Monitor systems for performance and security issues; ensure compliance of company policies

· Troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems and determine appropriate solutions

· Provide training and upskilling to all users

· You will have a strong foundation in IT support

· An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
