Mo te tunga I About the Role: 

BestStart Rangiora are seeking a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator for their Nursery Room (caring for tamariki aged between 0-1 years old). They are looking for someone who will be patient and kind as well as nurturing and calm. You will enjoy the established team environment, where there is an opportunity for valuable mentoring and coaching to enhance your teaching practice..

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• completing the necessary caring routines for our younger tamariki
• supporting our young ones- encouraging their curiosity, imagination and extend interests
• building connections with both our little ones and their whanu
• role modelling respect and care for all areas of our environment

Role requirements: 

· B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification 

· Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning 

· Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard 

· A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices 

· Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality 

This is a permanent part-time position, offering 30 hours per week, between 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

(Hours may increase as occupancy level s increase).
