Night healthcare assistant

Alpine View Care Centre are looking for an experienced part-time night shift healthcare assistant to join our growing team! This is a night shift role, working mainly Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 11.00pm-7.15am. There is also the possibility to pick up extra shifts from time to time. About you - Nga Korero Mou * Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is desirable. * Advantageous if you have a minimum qualification equivalent to NZ level 3 or above in the health care industry. * Can share in our core values - O Tatou Uara of vision, optimism, respect, equality, and honesty, working effectively with people from a range of cultures. * Excellent communication skills. * Work well under pressure and can multi-task over a wide range of duties. * An ability to inspire and motivate. * You want to be a valued team member and can offer a high standard of service and support for our residents. About the role – Mo te turanga * Providing the best practice individualised healthcare to Rest home and Hospital level residents. * Familiarisation with care plans and provide care in accordance with individual resident notes. * Ensuring own knowledge and work represents education received in conjunction with policies and procedures. * Ensure changes in residents’ conditions are accurately identified, documented, and reported to senior staff. * Participate in annual review of care competencies to ensure best practice is maintained. * Documenting progress of each resident’s progress in comprehensive and timely manner including utilising internal Qestral developed clinical software. * Participate in Infection Prevention and Control strategies including ensuring the use of personal protective equipment. * Participation in Health and Safety drills, training, and safety techniques.
