• Fixed term part-time 0.7FTE position available in Ward 10 covering parental leave for 12 months

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Service is one of is one of our surgical departments at the Canterbury DHB which specialises in cardiothoracic surgery.  Our role sees us caring for patients that are undergoing acute and arranged cardiac and thoracic surgery.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse on a fixed-term part-time 0.7FTE basis with a passion for this area of nursing and a commitment to the delivery of high standard of nursing care. Enthusiastic and motivated, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast paced, forward thinking, supportive environment.

Fixed term covering 12 months;

If you’re a motivated, enthusiastic Registered Nurse, with acute medical and/or surgical experience and would like the opportunity to practice in cardiothoracic nursing we would love to hear from you.

• Acute medical or surgical experience is essential
• A NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate
• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.

• The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.
