Reporting to: Operations Manager, Head Mechanic & Crane Manager Location: Whakatu, Hawkes Bay Primary Objective: The Crane and Truck Dispatcher is pivotal in coordinating the scheduling and allocation of equipment and personnel for crane and truck operations. They are crucial in ensuring jobs are executed efficiently, safely, and with top-notch customer service. Roles and Responsibilities: * Handle bookings via phone, email, and walk-ins. * Input booking details into Equipr. * Coordinate equipment and personnel allocation. * Plan and allocate equipment with management. * Respond to quote inquiries and create quotes. * Clarify health and safety requirements. * Assist in resolving equipment breakdowns. * Ensure operators are informed. * Adjust existing bookings and notify parties. * Optimise transportation processes. * Maintain accurate scheduling and personnel data. * Ensure efficient equipment utilisation. * Forward site visit inquiries to the Crane Manager. * Escalate issues to appropriate personnel. * Assist with fleet maintenance and compliance. * Update databases. Qualifications: Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is an advantage. Strong organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of crane operations and equipment is a plus. Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office and dispatching systems.
