As an Account Manager at DHL, you’ll manage, retain, develop and grow the customer business, ensuring profitable growth, excellence in operations, customer satisfaction and attracting new business streams from customers.

IN THIS JOB YOU WILL BE:

  • Developing annual customer business plans that support agreed strategies
  • Enabling and managing the achievement of service performance that exceeds customers’ expectations
  • Partnering with our customers by proactively reviewing and improving business processes to improve productivity and add value to DHL services
  • Facilitating and leading the weekly, monthly and quarterly customer reviews
  • Accountability for accurate and timely customer billing and payment of invoices
  • Adherence to and compliance with DHL policies and SOPs
  • Responsibility for resolving customer issues as first port of call
  • Continuously maintaining and developing relationships with customers
  • Leading customer renewals
  • Conducting regular operational performance reviews and identifying opportunities
  • Supporting the warehouse operation, driving continuous improvement & cost down opportunities

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated strengths in presentation, negotiation and influencing.
  • Degree qualification in Business, Management or Supply Chain advantageous
  • Experience with managing client expectations and performing to SLA’s
  • Open and effective communication skills – verbal and written, as this is critical to the success of this role
  • Professionalism in presentation – dress and manner when meeting, and liaising with Clients
  • Advanced PC skills within the Microsoft Office suite
  • The ability to influence, lead and motivate across all levels and parties
  • The ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities effectively and professionally
