We export 98% of production to key markets including: vessels for the military, homeland security, search and rescue, fast ferry, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors. Due to a recent internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Leader to join our team. We are on the lookout for a superstar to join our dynamic Christchurch based manufacturing facility, who will be based on site within the factory. Role requirements: * Supporting all business areas in the implementation and strategy of all HSEQ activities * Develop, drive, and improve HSEQ processes and procedures * Audit and report on HSEQ activities * Investigate defects, incidents, and near misses * Help develop, implement, and maintain a management system which adheres to international standards * Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team Who you are: * Experienced in HSEQ management within a manufacturing environment * A self-motivated person with a proactive and compliant attitude * Excellent in communication, both written and verbal * A team player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility * A problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail Desirable qualifications and experience: * Ideally have a minimum of 3 years prior leadership experience * Qualified internal or lead auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 would be beneficial * Knowledge or experience with an engineering discipline is an advantage We offer a competitive salary, onsite café and parking, active social club and discounted health insurance for you and your family.
