We are looking for a motivated, reliable and hard-working individual to join our night shift Cutline Department Team as a Machine Operator.  Niagara is an equal opportunities employer.

Our Cutline Department uses industry leading technology including cameras, lasers and x-ray functions to inspect our timber for defects, guiding further operations to remove the defects with a ripsaw . Once defects are removed the clear timber blocks move through our automated production line to be finger jointed before further processing.

The successful candidate will receive full onsite training, and on-going support to help contribute to their personal and professional development. Our ideal candidate is willing to learn, and passionate about building a career in manufacturing. This role does not require experience in machine operation or timber experience, your application will stand out from the crowd if you have a proven interest in learning and a confidence with technology. The successful applicant will be working within a small, dynamic team who work closely together to achieve production targets. Responsibilities of this role include operating of machinery, preforming quality checks, supporting product flow through the operational processes and eventually providing feedback & operational improvement ideas. Full training for all tasks will be given, with on going support.

Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours, with overtime routinely available. Hours of work after forty each week are paid at an overtime rate!
