North Island Homes Ltd was established in 2017. We have successfully completed a few projects in Auckland in the past. Our business is experiencing stability improvement, we are now seeking an experienced and qualified carpenter.The position is Permanent, with 40 hours of work per week, shifting from Monday to SaturdayWe prefer the candidate: Has New Zealand qualification Certificate in Carpentry level 4; At least FIVE years Carpenter working experience for the residential property construction in New Zealand; Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (Powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.) Ability to read technical documents and drawingsAble to follow safety guidelines at all times Able to work under pressure.Duties and responsibilities: Understand building plans and read blueprints, drawings and sketches to grasp requirements fullyPlan the ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements Assemble and nail the prepared wood parts to form structures and fittings Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed itemsLay out floorings, roofing or drywalls, ensuring they are levelled and compatible Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated Inspect places and repair, removing or replacing damaged items Ensure the work safety rules are followed at all timeTerm: Permanent full time positionWage: $30 - $33 per hourHours of work: 40 hours or above per weekShifted from Monday to SaturdayIf you are interested in this position, please do not hesitate to send your CV to ****** for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visaÂ
