This is a hands-on role working with a passionate team of motivated staff and volunteers. You will be responsible for assisting the manager and team with all aspects of operations from receiving donations, merchandising, pricing, sales, customer service, administration and helping to achieve budget.This is an incredibly rewarding retail position for someone who is passionate about retail, preloved quality items and have a genuine desire to work in the charity sector.Hours : 37.5 hours , 5 days per week mainly Mon to Fri with some occasion weekend hours when required.Skills and experience required: 2 years retail experience in a similar roleHave a passion for vintage, preloved and all secondhand itemsBe fit and able to help move items around the storeAdaptable and be a good multi-taskerPositive communicatorBe able to make good decisions under pressure at timesPositive attitude and self-motivatedResilient and resourcefulHave proficient POS skillsBe well organised, tidy and follow protocols and procedures wellMerchandising experience and creativity for visual displays would be an advantage but not essentialFluent in both spoken and written English to high levelResponsibilities: Assist the manager and team with operations of ReStore eg from receiving donations to salesAssist with achieving the financial objectives of the ReStoreEnsure stock is prepared for sale, merchandise and manage restockingChampion consistent excellent customer serviceRespond to customer queries and complaints appropriatelyFollow Health & Safety guidelinesEnsure that all procedures and protocol are followedUphold and role model the values of Habitat for Humanity Northern RegionABOUT US for Humanity is a well respected international registered charity providing awide range of home construction, repair, renovation and advocacy programmes aimed at building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
