Full time, permanent position Based at Auckland City Hospital Competitive remuneration commensurate with your skills and experience ($121,500 pa)Te whiwhinga mahi The OpportunityThe Clinical Lead Pharmacist, Medicines Governance and Informatics provides professional leadership to, and coordination of, the team providing quality, safety and risk services, medicines information and informatics services across Te Toka Tumai. The role utilises its staff and other resources to deliver quality and safety improvement initiatives in coordination with other team leaders and the Service Clinical Director. The role sits within the leadership team and provides strategic leadership to the department's medicines governance and informatics services. Working across all Directorates, this role demands strong clinical, quality, safety and risk knowledge, positive role modelling and expertise in clinical governance and legislation to optimise patient care through quality improvement and clear strategic direction. As a service leader you will model Te Toka Tumai values, uphold just culture and champion the organisational vision and strategy and communicate the path forward. This full time position will provide you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and integrate yourself into all aspects of clinical service leadership. The position collaborates extensively both within the pharmacy department and with multiple Directorates of the wider organisation and region. For further details, please refer to the position description here.Nga pūkenga motuhake Important skillsSuitable applicants will ideally have : Previous significant pharmacy operational management and leadership preferably in a large health organisation Experience of a leadership role within hospital pharmacy Be a registered Pharmacist with a current APC or be eligible to obtain one A deep commitment to achieving excellent clinical and business outcomes based on quality service delivery and outstanding and empathetic patient care Sophisticated capacity to develop and promote clinical leadership and engagement The ability to develop an organisation culture based on collaboration, trust and transparencyAs the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes : A commitment to biculturalism A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori Relevant tertiary qualification Demonstrated high level leadership, supervisory or management experience Proven ability to provide leadership and direction in investigating, changing, implementing and developing strategies for improving service delivery Demonstrated experience in complex large project management Clear understanding of current developments in the provision of hospital pharmacy services in NZ.
