We're also currently in stealth mode, so check out our website and we'll share more with you during the recruitment process The Role Due to some internal changes, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Delivery Lead to join the team at Basis and lead our Delivery Chapter! As our Delivery Lead you will be responsible for leading and executing effective program and project management for Basis's product development teams. Leveraging your technical proficiency and leadership, you will guide the squad in achieving milestones and delivering high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget. You'll be crafting and overseeing project plans, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring seamless collaboration among squad members. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role. Some of the things that you might be involved in include: Project and portfolio planning, scheduling and budgeting to support early identification of resource, scope or trajectory of completion issues Project & program risk management and mitigation Development and implementation of best practices and methodologies Supporting scope estimation and resourcing with squads and Product Owners Efficient execution of product development processes, working with process owners on their improvements Work closely with the Product chapter to align delivery goals with product strategy Contribute to product planning and roadmap development Communicate project progress, issues, and resolutions to relevant parties regularly & consistently Support and align delivery across tribes from a budget, resource allocation, and team dynamics standpoint. Mentor and develop any Delivery chapter members to ensure high performance and personal growth This role is instrumental in pushing and enabling the Basis team to deliver on milestones successfully, in a timely manner, and on budget. While this is a leadership role, the team is still small. So, make no mistake that we still expect you to get your hands dirty and personally drive the delivery of our next major product release! Please note: From time to time, you may need to travel to suppliers and partners domestically and globally to oversee deliverables. The successful candidate will need to be based in either Auckland or Christchurch. About You We think you'll be a fit for this role if possess the following skills and experience: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Proven experience in leading hardware and software product delivery in a dynamic, tech-oriented environment. Experience with and deep knowledge of various planning paradigms; Agile, Waterfall and others, knowing when and how to apply them. Strong ability to communicate and influence across a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally Strong understanding of hardware and software integration, and product lifecycle management.
