Electrician - Urgent Position

We are currently looking for a qualified Factory Maintenance Electrician to join our Palmerston North based maintenance team. Reporting to the Services Manager, the role is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and monitoring of all electrical systems and equipment on site, to ensure availability of plant and equipment efficiencies are maximised. The work involves both breakdown and preventative maintenance as well as assisting with the installation of new capital projects.

Working hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm five days per week - Start time negotiable

Responsibilities:

• Completing CMMS maintenance and inspection work orders daily.

• Maintain all electrical services and equipment on site.

• Fault finding and maintenance of PLC's, drives and other control circuits.

• Test and Tag.

• New project Installations.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• To hold a relevant industry trade qualification.

• Have a New Zealand electrical registration and current practising license.

• Demonstrate a role in promoting and improving the Health and Safety systems.

• Experience with CMMS systems.

• Knowledge and experience with PLC systems and VSD’s would be an advantage

• Be able to read and follow electrical drawings.

• Be results oriented, with the ability to work on a variety of unconnected projects.

• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Be able to attend after hours callouts and weekend work, on a 1 week in 4 roster, to cover the 24/7 operation.
