As part of the Nursing Resource Team, you will work alongside and become an integral part of various teams. You will have the opportunity to form collaborative relationships with Charge Nurse Managers (CNM), shift co-ordinators and all colleagues of the wider health team. No two days are the same, if you are in search of variety – this is the position for you. We offer a supportive environment with a Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Co-ordinators (CNC) and a Charge Nurse Manger (CNM) to assist with your development.

Key responsibilities of the role:

To be able to work in surgical, medical, orthopaedics, cardio-vascular and cardiac care, women’s health and paediatrics and older person’s rehabilitation areas.

The Nursing Resource Team at Waikato DHB are an internal bureau of nurses who provide relief and support across all other nursing services, as and when required. Our family orientated team gives you the opportunity to become multi-skilled and increase your knowledge by working in a variety of clinical areas. We offer clinical education, coaching and PDRP support from competent to expert levels.

We are looking for dynamic and vibrant ENs, preferably with at least two years post graduate experience that are available to work a variety of shifts and hours. If you have the ability and desire to work in a diverse range of clinical settings to broaden your knowledge then this position is for you.

  • Preference will be given to ENs who have worked in an acute DHB setting in New Zealand and are flexible to work some rostered shifts.
  • We offer a supportive orientation and will help you in the development of your portfolio and other ongoing professional development.
  • You must have a current work permit and practising certificate.
