We enjoy spot lunches, and great Christmas get-togethers and encourage and offer opportunities to current employees to grow and develop their skills - sometimes even moving around the country to another yard!Key responsibilities:This position involves duties related to operating excavators but not limited to:Receiving and moving materials ensuring handling is kept to a minimum. Sort material using grading techniques. Specialist baler operation Specialist scrap handler operation Specialist alligator shear operation Collecting/delivering scrap material when required Ensure quality standards are met. Carry out stock control checks if required. Ensure all processing tasks are safely completed to the required standards. Pack materials into appropriate containers Carrying out other processing tasks as directed and to the required standards. Carry out stock takes as required. Routine daily checks of all plant and equipment related to your task. Use tools and equipment as directed and as per company procedures. Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and are appropriately maintained. Inform your manager or maintenance team if issues are identified. Carry out housekeeping tasks as directed and to a high standard. Ensure all health and safety requirements are met. Carry out any other tasks as directed by management and to the required standards. Skills, Knowledge and Experience:1+ years' experience needed as an excavator operatorKnowledge of yard safety rules and methods is preferred but not compulsorySome experience working in a workshop, construction site, or recycling factory OR qualification is preferred but not compulsoryPhysically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 20kg)Must be able to pass a drug test.Qualifications:Class 4 license will be an advantage but not compulsoryMust have WTR licenseLocation: The Excavator Operator may be required to work in several locations including, Taupo, Hamilton.This role will be a permanent and full-time job.A minimum of 30 hours of work are guaranteed.Please note that our commitment to our team's safety on the job means that everyone undergoes a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.If you are a reliable and experienced Excavator Operator, APPLY NOW with your current CV.Â
