Ko o kawenga/Your responsibilities: Manage the kitchen operations in a safe and efficient mannerEnsure that all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.Prepare, cook and serve good quality food for customersPlan and control menu-based catering and functionsDevelop and implement staff rosterPurchase and manage stockLead and coach members of the team, manage their performance and promote team commitment and cooperationYou will be hard working, have a passion for great food and a friendly outgoing personality.You will already have at least 3 years' proven work experience in a similar chef position from either a high-end restaurant or good quality hotel with relevant leadership experience.You will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168).You will have experience and skill in modern cuisine and producing and presenting food to a high standard and will put strong emphasis on quality, presentation while being a great communicator.You will competently juggle multiple demands within a challenging environment.Most importantly, you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.You will have an experience in bulk production cooking.This role is a great opportunity for some who wants that work-life balance and who wants to join us on our food journey while growing their careers.
